Welcome to the BSA Troop 637 Website

Boy Scout Troop 637 serves Sedalia, Larkspur, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, and Castle Pines North, Colorado and the surrounding communities.

Our troop is scout-led and has been in existence for 25 years. We maintain a rich tradition of empowering scouts to become leaders through troop meetings, outdoor adventures, and community service projects. We are a very active outdoors troop, camping year-round at least once a month. We offer regular camping opportunities for the whole troop as well as high adventure camping activities for scouts that have obtained the rank of First Class and above.

Family Feast Campout - Announcement, Rules & Requirements, Forms

Posted on Sep 1 2010 - 9:45am

Our annual Family Feast is quickly approaching. We will be holding our Family Feast at the US Air Force Academy on Sept 17 - 19. The Family Feast is an opportunity for the patrols to compete against each other in a cook-off as well as preparing food for all who attend. The patrols will be judged on their team work, preparation, theme, presentation, and quality of food. The patrols have already selected their themes and meal plans and are planning themselves on meeting to test-cook their menus. All members of families are encouraged to attend (mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, ...) We are also extending invitations to local Cub Packs. We will be putting up the monkey bridge and planning a hike for participants. IMPORTANT: Everyone attending must fill out a form required by the Air Force Academy. Please login to the website and navigate to Files --> USAFA Covenant Not to Sue. These forms need to be turned in before we can get our permit so please fill them out and give them to Mrs. Bougan as soon as possible. Patrols need to be thrifty with their food purchases and are limited to $2.00 / person for the cook-off meal. Plan on cooking for 70 people. Remember, you will be serving all the people who attend the campout, BUT, you will be serving a small sample portion to each person, not a full-size portion. Each patrol must perpare and cook a dutch oven dessert. Contact your SPL if you have questions.
